KATE BEATTY
Founder and Principal
Kate is an experienced executive, having led transformations at a not-for-profit educational institutional, as well as a $5 billion global manufacturing organization that went from private-equity ownership to a publicly traded company listed on the New York Stock Exchange. Complementing her executive leadership roles, she has over thirty years of experience consulting with organizations in the leadership development and organization development areas. She draws upon her early career experience as an engineer on a leadership training program, her doctoral training in organizational psychology, and extensive experience as an external consultant and internal executive developing leaders and transforming organizations around the globe.

Kate currently serves on the national board of Fostering Hope, a non-profit organization started by her family to aid foster families in providing stability, enrichment, and connections to neglected and abused children.
She and her husband, Chris, have two adult sons, Mark and Tom. Kate enjoys hiking the trails of Colorado with Chris and their vizsla, Bode.

An Experienced Partner
Prior to forming Inspirati Leadership Solutions, Kate was Global Vice-President, Learning and Organization Development for Vertiv Group Corp, a leading provider of critical digital infrastructure with 25,000 employees in more than 40 countries.

Kate joined Vertiv in January 2018 as it embarked on a significant transformation as one of Platinum Equity’s portfolio companies prior to going public in February 2020 (VRT).

She led restructuring efforts to stand up global business units while re-organizing region-based teams.
-
Kate also stood up the talent management, succession planning, and employee engagement efforts for the company, and globalized the learning and development function which consisted of more than 100 learning and development professionals.
Kate spent much of her career at the Center for Creative Leadership (CCL), a top provider of leadership education and development. In addition to her direct work with clients from around the globe, Kate held many leadership roles at CCL, including:

Vice-President Enterprise Strategy and Planning,

Managing Director, Colorado Springs Campus, and

Director, Global Portfolio Management.
In the latter, she was responsible to ensure a high-quality, relevant, and scalable portfolio to meet the demands of CCL’s clients across the globe, and was a key leader involved in transforming and aligning the Center’s portfolio of programs. She personally managed several of CCL’s flagship programs, including its world-renowned programs Developing the Strategic Leader and Leadership at the Peak. She also authored/co-authored several books, chapters and articles, including Becoming a Strategic Leader: Your Role in Your Organization’s Enduring Success.
Prior to joining CCL, Kate was an associate with Colarelli, Meyer & Associates, Inc. (now CMA Global, Inc.), a management consulting firm based in the Midwestern United States. She also worked at Anheuser-Busch Companies in the areas of executive development and succession planning.
Kate’s first career was in electrical engineering. She was a GM Scholar with General Motors and an Edison Engineer with the Medical Systems division of GE. The latter program included software and hardware development assignments, as well as training to prepare technical leaders of the future.
Kate enjoyed studying leadership and decided to return to graduate school in psychology. She holds an M.S. and Ph.D. in Organizational Psychology from Saint Louis University, as well as a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois.
